According to AS.com, Cristiano Ronaldo asked Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, and general manager Jose Angel Sanchez to let him leave the club, but he wouldn't specify the reasons.
Goal.com reported that Cristiano Ronaldo made the shocking claim that he is unhappy with Real Madrid after he refused to celebrate his 149th and 150th goals with the club in a 3-0 win over Granada Sunday.
"I'm sad because of a professional issue and the club know why," he said afterwards. "That's why I didn't celebrate the goals, because I'm not happy. The people [at the club] know why. It's nothing to do with Iniesta [winning European player award]. I won't talk about this any more and I will concentrate on Portugal for now. There are more important things [than this]. The people at the club know about this. I can't say any more."
Ronaldo was the catalyst with two goals, but his refusal to celebrate them afterwards was a talking point after the match, and now has developed into a significant story.
According to The Rail, Ronaldo does not maintain good relations with some of his teammates, especially in light of recent comments made by Marcelo that teammate Iker Casillas should win the Ballon d'Or.
